Welcome to the Dairy Goat 4-H Program!
Why Choose Dairy Goats for 4-H & Homesteading?

4-H is one of the most rewarding ways for youth to develop responsibility, leadership, and lifelong agricultural skills. If you're looking for a fun, hands-on project that teaches kids animal care, teamwork, and self-sufficiency, dairy goats are the perfect choice! Through 4-H, kids gain real-world experience raising and showing dairy goats, competing in ADGA & AGS-sanctioned events, and learning the fundamentals of livestock management.

Dairy goat projects go beyond the show ring—they provide a sustainable, productive livestock option for homesteading families. Whether your goal is to compete in state fairs, learn homesteading skills, or produce fresh goat milk, this program offers something for everyone!

Why Choose 4-H Dairy Goats for Your Family?

Raising dairy goats through 4-H is more than just a project—it’s an immersive, hands-on learning experience that teaches responsibility, sustainability, and valuable life skills. Whether your family is looking to connect with agriculture, develop leadership skills, or embrace a homesteading lifestyle, dairy goats offer a rewarding and educationalopportunity for kids and parents alike.

Empowering the Next Generation of Dairy Goat Enthusiasts

The Pay-It-Forward 4-H Dairy Goat Scholarship Program is designed to give passionate 4-H and FFA youth the opportunity to raise and show registered dairy goats while fostering mentorship, responsibility, and a spirit of giving back.

In return, they agree to pay it forward by donating the doe’s first female offspring to another new 4-H member, ensuring the cycle of mentorship and opportunity continues.
